Mouhacine Benosman

  • Biography

    Before coming to MERL in 2010, Mouhacine worked at universities in La Sapienza Rome, Italy, Reims university, France and Strathclyde University, Scotland before spending 5 years as a Research Scientist with the Temasek Laboratories at the National University of Singapore. His research interests include modeling and control of flexible systems, non-linear robust and fault tolerant control, vibration suppression in industrial systems, multi-agent control with applications to smart-grid, and learning and adaptive control for nonlinear systems. Mouhacine has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers, and has more than 15 patents in the field of mechatronics systems control. He is a senior member of the IEEE and an Associate Editor of the Control System Society Conference Editorial Board.

    • MM1010: Fluid Dynamics Estimation and Control

      MERL is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to conduct research in fluid dynamics estimation and control. The ideal candidate should have solid background in PDE model reduction, observability analysis and state observers design for dynamical systems. Familiarity with operator-based model reduction or adaptive control techniques is a plus. Publication of the results produced during the internship is anticipated.
