Yebin Wang

  • Biography

    Prior to joining MERL, Yebin worked on process control, software development and management, and nonlinear estimation theory for over ten years. At MERL, Yebin has been working on control and estimation for various automation and transportation systems. Yebin's research interests include nonlinear estimation/control theory and applications, optimal control, adaptive/learning systems, modeling and control of complex systems.

    • ME1117: Motion Planning in Dynamic Environments

      MERL is seeking a highly skilled and motivated intern to work on motion planning and tracking control of nonholonomic systems in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate should have solid backgrounds in motion planning algorithms and their implementation, and performance analysis of algorithms. Demonstrated capability in coding algorithms and publishing results in leading conference and journals is a necessity. Senior Ph.D. students in control, computer science, or related areas are encouraged to apply. Start date for this internship is flexible, and the expected duration is about 3 months.

    • ME1118: Control of Networked Systems

      MERL is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to conduct research in analysis, design, and control of networked systems. The ideal candidate should have solid backgrounds in modeling and analysis of communication network over multiple layers, controller (estimator) synthesis for hybrid systems, and demonstrated capability to publish results in leading control journals. Experience with discrete manufacturing process is a plus. Start date for this internship is flexible and the duration is about 3 months.
