  • Biography

Tanuj's research interests broadly lie in the field of Process Systems Engineering with a strong focus on multi-scale modeling and optimization of chemical processes. During his Ph.D., he investigated suitable reformulations to accelerate deterministic global optimization of mixed-integer nonlinear programs. Prior to joining MERL, he was a postdoctoral researcher at TU Delft focusing on integrating physics in machine learning surrogate models to accelerate the solution of nonlinear optimization problems.
