Abstract:

We introduce Wyner-Ziv (WZ) cooperation between multiple subcarrier receivers for jointchannel carrier phase estimation (CPE) in optical superchannel transmissions. The WZ cooperation improves CPE performance by at least 0.25 dB when inter-chip connections are band-limited.
