Abstract:

Over the last decade, volume rendering has become an invaluable visualization technique for a wide variety of applications. In this paper, we discuss modern, hardware-accelerated methods for the visualization of volume datasets; ray casting, texture slicing, shear-warp and shea-image rendering and splatting.
