Biography
Mahmoud is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property Department at MERL. He is also currently an evening law student at Suffolk University Law School. Before joining MERL, Mahmoud worked for two years at a law firm, focusing on patent prosecution. He holds an S.M. in Technology and Policy and an S.M. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University. During his graduate studies at MIT, Mahmoud conducted research on energy storage systems, including thermochemical and electrochemical investigations of lithium-based batteries and a techno-economic assessment of sodium-based batteries.
