Bill comes to us from Intel, where he initiated and drove the technology initiative on Scale-free Architecture. Prior to Intel he worked at the MIT Media Lab's Center for Bits and Atoms, and at Micronas Semiconductor and Standard Elektrik Lorenz (both in Germany). Bill received his BS, MS and PhD degrees from the MIT.  Bill will initially be assigned to the Algorithm group, and he will be working on various projects that have severe computational requirements (e.g., Particle Beam Therapy).
